In an effort to make the most of the rest of Jon's paternity leave, we took advantage of a gift certificate we had to Skamania Lodge, which incidentally had to be used mid-week, so it was an ideal time to head to the gorge and enjoy a quiet get-away.
Since Jon had to go back to work this week (big sad face), he decided to work last Thursday on the legal clinic he has organized at the coast in order to be able to take a day off this week. And I decided to tag along and then spend the night at Cannon Beach, the location of many summer family vacations for the Gaynors.
Jon is back to work today and Henry and I are adjusting and finding our ways to fill our days with projects that have long be procrastinated, naps, nursing and diaper changes.
