Yesterday during my OB visit, I asked my doctor to scrape my membranes in hopes of helping with dilation and labor. She said to expect some spotting afterwards. However, I have been experiencing more than spotting since then, and what I can only say feels more like a leak. So, I know most movies and popular media portray the water breaking as something close to the flood after a dam has broken. However, there is also the possibility of having a tear in the sack and then experience small leak. I didn't think much of this at first...
So after some consideration, and talks with my doula and best friend doctor, I decided I should probably call the advice nurse. But not until I had a leisurely morning and a trip out to Hillsboro for lunch with Jon and Isla, and experiencing some spotting after leaks. The advice nurse agreed that it sounded like I might be leaking amniotic fluid and it was best to come in and get checked. She said come like you're planning to stay because if it is a leak or tear they are likely to induce me.
And just like that we are off to the hospital. There is definitely the possibility that I will be coming right back home, but its exciting none the less.

That's a great photo Margot! Hahahaha! The flood gates have opened baby, let her come! I know it wasn't as violent as this, and thank God or that! Sam and I are praying for you. Get rest when you can, and stay strong.
