1 month old & many firsts

Henry turned one month old on Monday. My goodness how the time has flown. Henry and I have been getting into the swing of things, setting up lunches and play dates and getting better and better at getting out the door and actually arriving on time.

This was a week that was marked by many firsts.

1. I went for a run...ok, it was more like a very gentle jog. None the less, I ran for the first time since November and I didn't die. I'm trying to be very gentle and reasonable with myself, despite my eagerness to get back in shape. Isla also went on her first run with me as well! She is an excellent running buddy. No pictures of this event were taken, by mommy's request.
2. My mom generously got us a breast pump, so this was the first week that Henry took a bottle! I have been fretting over this, as I eventually will have to return to work, and it will be essential that Henry and I get the whole pumping and bottle feeding routine down. He did splendidly.
3. We busted out the stroller and took a walk for the first time. Since we moved to our neighborhood in October, we haven't really gotten to know our surroundings all that well because its been a raining and wet winter. It was fun to get out and about and check out some restaurants in walking distance on a warm spring night. It has also been fun to see all the neighbors out and about and we are looking forward to getting to know them all a little bit better.

And of course this weekend will be a BIG first for me, my very first Mother's Day! I will mostly likely be spending the day doing this:
He is just so darn kissable!
