Saturday was equally relaxing as we enjoyed a tour around the Mills Mansion, the site for the wedding ceremony. It was a beautiful wedding with some of the most touching vows I've heard. The reception was held at Eva's childhood home in Rhinebeck, filled with lovely conversations and delicious food. We left feeling like we were part of the family.
Sunday we quadruple booked ourselves....usually against the cardinal rules of Margot, but we were attempting to maximize our time. We had brunch with the wedding party and guests in the morning, then headed to the Catskills for a beautiful hike around Lake Minnewaska with Jon's close friend Tim and his girlfriend. Then we hopped in the car and drove through Henry's nap time to New Haven for dinner with my college friend Jenny who just moved out there for her husband's residency. After dinner we pulled a power move, and headed to Jon's cousin's house for the night just outside of Worcester, MA. Kind of crazy, but we made it.
Monday was gorgeous and we spent the day exploring beautiful Boston with Jon's cousin and their darling little girl. After dinner, we loaded Henry for a little sleepy time driving again and headed back to Jon's friends in Long Island.
Today was nice and mellow and was exactly was we needed after the past few days and we loved playing with Mike and Meg's sweet 3 little boys.
Here's the little photo recap:
