Henry takes Manhattan

We left our mellow day in Long Island to show Henry the bustling big apple. Jon and I have both been to NYC several times, so we didn't feel the need to do the traditional touristy things, and opted for as many kid friendly activities as we could find.

On the train to the city.
The first stop was my cousin Aly's office to dropped most of our luggage in mid-town. Then we walked through Rockefeller Plaza and Time Square, clearly Henry was enthralled.
Then we jumped on the subway and headed to the Children's Museum of Manhattan. Henry loved all the fun exhibits, especially the bubble maker.
Then, thanks to the wonders of Facebook, we met up with one of my friends from college who recently moved to NYC. We had a lovely visit with Jill at Riverside park while Henry played some more.
After that, we headed toward Columbus Circle and walked through the park to FAO Schwartz.
And by then, it was time to meet my cousin Aly for dinner. So we've made our way to Park Slope for the evening and are all ready for a good nights sleep. Who knows what adventures the city will bring us tomorrow!
