7 months old: Grateful

After last month's unfortunate events, seeing Henry at 7 months, all I can say is how grateful I am for every single moment that I get to spend with him. He is a blessing in every sense of the word, whether it is the chance to experience the world through his eyes, his laughs that turn into snorts or the two cute little bottom teeth that have sprouted through this month, I cannot express how much gratitude I feel.

So here is whats new in Henry's world this month
  • He has two razor sharp bottom teeth that have cut through
  • His favorite activity is hanging out in the bouncy chair, and when that's not around, bouncing how whoever will suffice.
  • If he thinks about it real hard, he waves! Its amazing
  • He lifts up his arms when he is ready to be picked up
  • He continues to experiment with solids, but breast milk is still his favorite
  • He sleeps* in his crib in his room at night (*from 8pm-12am he sleeps there and then usually spends the rest of the night in bed with us)
  • He no longer needs to be swaddled at night and wears a sleep sack to bed
  • He has a new car seat, partly because of the accident and partly because he was out growing his infant car seat
  • He continues to become more interactive and loves to play with toys. He's not worried about playing on his own either.
  • His favorite word is "googley, googley, googley". Its hilarious! His tongue always ends up sticking out as he says it and his whole body tenses as he struggles to communicate.

We have some big changes coming up in the next month. Henry officially graduates from his babies in the workplace with Jon. I am leaving my job at LifeWorks to work for Outside In as a part of their medical clinic starting after Thanksgiving, and Henry will be starting with a nanny share 2 days a week with a friend from Mommy/Baby Yoga.
Can you see the teeth coming through??
From this weekend at Eagle Crest...looking so grown up
As always, the only thing constant is life is change.

  1. Oh, Margot. I am sorry to hear about your car accident, but I am so thankful that you guys are all okay.

I can't believe that your guy is 7 months old! I'm remembering my Henry's graduation day at Mom's Group and how teeny he was back then! Time sure does fly.
