It seems like August came and went before we even had a chance to notice. Since I've been back to work, the time has been flying by and Henry is growing bigger and stronger every day. I cannot get over how amazing he is...(I might have said this before, but) I'm kind of obsessed, but that's normal, right?
Jon and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary this month by heading up to Lake Merwin with my sister and her family for some stand up paddle boarding or SUP, as the cool kids call it. Feeling more and more in my body since the birth, I was able to try out some yoga, which was trickery than it sounds.

please hold the applause, as I am in very shallow water and somewhat "beached" in this photo

Ahoy!
Henry did not join on the SUP boards, but rested comfortable in the shade while we played around. His new favorite toy is this jump around activity station. He loves to stand. I'm a little concerned he might just skip sitting or crawling and go straight to walking.

ok mom, that's enough with the camera!
We've had several visitors come to town. Henry got some special time with his favorite gal, Lana, all the way from Chicago. And I enjoyed a quick BF catch up session.

And Lacey from Law School came to join for a little visit as well. We almost convinced her to join our family.

To round out the month, on Saturday we headed to the mountain as a part of our labor day stay-cation weekend. Despite my grips and moans, it was worth the effort to get everyone loaded up, float around on the rafts, picnic and soak up the beautiful Oregon scenery. Oregon in the summer is really the best. Henry's BF, Arthur, was there to join in the fun!

Let's go!

We finished out the weekend with lots of time relaxing* and hanging with our favorite little guy.
*side note confession: by relaxing, I mean, we are currently in the throws of the TV series LOST and cannot stop watching it because it is on Netflix streaming. We have arrived at the 6th season and are anxiously waiting to get our lives back when we finish it.
Hot mama's back in a two piece & rockin it! Welcome back body, good to see you again ;) He ry makes the cutest darn faces!
