...fondness, appreciation, and love among other things.
We are now coming to the close of a long weekend without our dear Jonny. Jon left Wednesday night for a conference in DC and returns tomorrow, just in time to celebrate Father's Day. I have been managing with Henry and our eight month old puppy Isla, ok. Just ok. Sleep as been a little harder to come by, as Isla props her front legs up on the bed at 6am (or earlier) most mornings to be let out, a job that Jon has been doing since little Henry's arrival. My meals have been irregular (except for the night my parents brought me dinner) and consisted of far too many double-stuf oreos. And I continue to master the art of walking and breast feeding, since Isla always decides she needs to go out while I'm feeding Henry. I almost wonder if Jon didn't plan this little get away a means to really demonstrate what a great Dad he is. ;-)

So, as we anxiously await for Jon's return home tomorrow, it is with excitement, relief, love and deep deep appreciation that we will welcome him back home. I'm so grateful for such a supportive and loving husband, father and dog-lovin' partner in my life. Happy Father's Day Jon!
