In my haste to put up Henry's birthday post, I neglected to feature some of the fun new things that Henry is up to these days (I know, gross oversight on my part). So without further ado, here on the bullet points for Henry at 12 months old.
- Not walking, but crawling and cruising all over. He still seems to err on the side of caution, and while he loves to walk with the help over others, feet marching out ahead of himself, he is nervous to let go and try to walk on his own.
- Talking all the time! His favorite word is still dawgie, or sometimes is dawgie? or dawgie! as evidenced by the video below.
- We've switched to 1/2 organic whole milk and 1/2 breast milk, which has allowed me to drop down to just pumping once a day at work...woot!
- He continues to love to nurse on and off throughout the night. Though his sleep is becoming more and more active and several times throughout the night he will take a big sigh, in his sleepy state, and toss himself across the bed, often ending upside down with his feet nestled by our faces
- Still loves to bounce
- Favorite new escape route, holding onto the bed sheets and sliding down feet first off the the side of our bed.
- We've decided to have him baptized in the Episcopal Church, the church that I grew up with, this May. More on that decision later...
- He has started to get an opinion about everything, whether its the food you're giving him or a toy that you just took away from him, he will let you know exactly how he feels about it, good or bad.
- He continues to be pure light in our life. Whether its his quiet observant ways or his big belly laughs, we are constantly amazed by his presence.
Henry is so sweet, those big eyes and the inquisitive nature to his voice! Hope I get to see him (and you soon) xo Nina
