| Getting a blanket ride with Daddy |
Holy Cow! Henry is 6 months old already! This half year has flown by! Since Henry reached 3 months old, I feel like there has been such an amazing developmental explosion that has been crazy to watch happen. It seems like every day is some new exciting little achievement.
We already had his 6 month check up and he continues to be an over achiever in the height and weight department.
- Henry weighs in at 19lbs 3oz in the 86 percentile and is 28 inches long putting him in the 96 percentile for length.
- He sits up for longer periods of time
- He easily gets up on all fours and rocks, then pushes himself backwards and finds himself under chairs and tables. One day he'll figure out how to go forward, but we're in no rush. But he moves around enough that we have graduated from our mommy/baby yoga class.
- He has experienced the taste of baby oatmeal (yum!), avocado (yum!), bananas (not so interested), and squash (yum!)
- He's wearing 9-12 month old clothes
- He laughs and smiles all the time. We get the best belly laughs from watching and playing with Isla, who, by the way, turned 1 year old yesterday!!!
- He had is first really big cold and cough. There is nothing worse then hearing your baby cough and not being able to do anything about it
- He has moved down stairs and sleeps in his crib every night (for at least the first shift), we're contemplating sleep training, but again not wanting to rush it
Cliched as it may sound, I continually feel so blessed to have Henry in our life. He is just the squishiest, sweetest, most loving little guy I've ever know.
