Yesterday we had our anatomy ultrasound to make sure all the parts of our bambino are all in the right place. The doctor said everything is looking fantastic...all the measurements are where they need to be and our baby is looking good. All the lobes of the brain are there, the stomach, liver and all the ventricles of the heart. We had the opportunity to find out the gender, but decided to wait and be surprised. Though Jon thinks the ultrasound tech slipped and used a gender specific pronoun, but I didn't hear it, so I'm not covinenced either way.
Here are so pics from our ultrasound. I was sad to learn that it was our last ultrasound, unless something goes wrong. I have really looked forward to seeing our little bambino on screen and watching out s/he swims around. This time s/he managed to do multiple somersaults throughout the ultrasound--at one moment the head would be on my left, then up high, then down low...I imagine it must feel like being in a anti-gravity room.

Now we're just savoring the sweetness of the second trimester. My new favorite pass time is to lay around and watch the little bumps, pokes and prods and how my stomach lurches up and down as our bambino practices some of its first yoga poses in-utero.
