Jonah is ONE

I have been delaying this post for as long as possible because I am denial that my baby could be one already. Seriously, how is that possible? As many parents can probably relate, there is great delight and also sorrow and grief with every passing milestone. It is so hard for me to say goodbye to my pregnancy and birthing years, and completing this first rotation around the sun with Jonah has felt like the solid closing of this chapter in my life and it kind of devastates me. *sigh*

Its been a good month for Jonah. We've been enjoying the beauty of the PNW at the end of summer. Jon took a 12 day trip to Europe for his friend Mike Tamola's wedding in Amsterdam, which left us to fend for ourselves while Henry started 1st grade and we celebrated Leo's 4th birthday. We visited lakes and went yurting on the coast.

Jonah is very mobile and no longer content just in the carrier, loves to crawl around and pull up on things. Cruises easily, but not yet walking independently. He is great eater, loves to try new foods, even spicy ones, though he and I are still avoiding dairy because how it effects him. He is still nursing and sleeps a couple hours in the pack and play in our room before coming into bed with with us at night. He is a happy boy and people always comment on what a "chill" baby he is, though when he has an opinion about things he is sure to tell you.

Well, 3 months late...but here is the photo recap of Jonah's last month prior to turning one.
