Our sweet lion cub, Leo, is 1 year old. Holy smokes! How did that happen? What an amazing year it has been. And yet, many others have told us we are "in the trenches", so to speak, of parenthood...and I definitely feel that most days. We had a celebrations with family for Leo's big day. The goal was simple, to celebrate surviving the first year and to watch Leo smash a cake. It was also a special day, because we celebrated on 8/29/15, the birthday of my Grandpa Fred (Leo's namesake) and the anniversary of my Grandma Phoebe leaving us.
And what is Leo up to these days. Eating just about everything. He has started to want to run, now that he has found his new freedom on two feet. He loves to climb on anything and everything. And we are quickly learning how to re-baby proof our house again. It is such joy to have this guy in our life. We're so lucky to have you, Leo Frederick.
