Real Madrid

We arrived in Madrid mid-afternoon and headed straight to the Reina Sofia Museum, brimming with amazing modern art.  Dali, Picasso, Solano, and many many more.  One of our favorite portions was the Estampas Populares, which were basically posters and images that activist artists put up on street corners despite the threat of prison or worse mocking and ridiculing the Franco regime.  After a blitzkrieg of the museum, we found an amazing vegetarian restaurant (Margot was in heaven), and made our way to our hotel for the siesta that we have come to appreciate.

We took an evening stroll through the city and soaked up all the amazing architecture and beautiful buildings of Madrid.
